Bogawantalawa Estate - This single estate is in possession of a mature tea extent of 303 hectares in an elevation ranging from 4000 feet to 5000 feet above sea level. It is notable that over 50% of tea on this property is young, vegetatively propagated tea.
Interestingly the highest yielding tea field in Bogawantalawa Valley is situated in Tientsin Division of Bogawantalawa Estate. The name Tientsin is derived from a village in China.
